FAQ

I offer secure telehealth sessions, allowing clients to choose the format that best fits their needs.

Yes. I offer secure telehealth sessions in addition to in-person appointments. Many clients find virtual therapy both convenient and effective, especially with busy schedules or demanding work lives.

Sessions are 50 minutes. Most clients begin weekly to build consistency and momentum. As progress is made, we will reassess the frequency together. Therapy remains intentional rather than open-ended.

We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations are charged the full session fee. Consistency supports meaningful change.

You can reach out through the contact page. We’ll guide you through the following steps and explain what to expect before your first session.

It’s normal to feel unsure, especially if you’ve had therapy before that didn’t go well. In the first session, we focus on understanding what’s been weighing on you and what feels stuck right now. There’s no pressure to share everything immediately.

We ask direct questions, listen closely, and begin identifying patterns that may be keeping you anxious, withdrawn, or reactive. You’ll leave with a clearer sense of what we would work on and whether this feels like the right fit.

Many of our clients are functioning on the outside but internally overwhelmed, self-critical, or socially avoidant. If you’re canceling plans, struggling to communicate, or feeling frustrated that you know better but don’t do better, therapy can help.

You don’t need to be in crisis. Wanting to feel more confident, steady, and intentional in your relationships is enough reason to start.

That concern comes up often, especially for clients who spend a lot of time overthinking. You don’t need to organize your story perfectly. We guide the conversation and help slow things down so you can understand what’s happening beneath the surface. Therapy isn’t about impressing anyone. It’s about clarity.

Fit matters. If you value direct feedback paired with empathy and are willing to look at your patterns honestly, this is often a good match. If you’re looking for someone to agree with everything or avoid uncomfortable truths, this may not be the right place. The first session gives you space to decide.

We work best with adults who feel anxious, avoidant, socially overwhelmed, or stuck in repeating relationship patterns. Many clients struggle with people-pleasing, difficulty expressing needs, or shutting down under stress. We’re especially effective with clients who’ve returned after a disappointing therapy experience and still want meaningful change.

Our work combines CBT, DBT, solution-focused strategies, and family systems insight. We focus on awareness and action. Insight alone isn’t enough. We identify patterns, understand where they come from, and practice new responses. Therapy here is collaborative and practical.

Yes, when appropriate. This may include communication practice, boundary-setting exercises, or noticing triggers in real time. Therapy works best when insights are applied outside the session. We support you, but you’re responsible for doing the work.
